Chapter 30 The Devil's Factory
Chapter 30 The Devil's Factory
Vashtor took a deep breath, straightened his tattered gray robe, rubbed his face, which was charred black by the purifying flames, and gave a fawning smile that was more like a grimace:
"Let's talk this out, sir. Don't litter!"
To match his humble posture, he took a careful step forward.
However, the next second, he abruptly pulled his foot back from mid-air.
He saw yet another crystal, tracing an arc, fall into the subspace turbulence and drift away from him.
He finally realized that the tough opponent before him was not easy to deal with, so he completely abandoned the idea of a sneak attack:
"Tell me, what do you want?"
"Oh? You're willing to talk now?" Li Wei raised an eyebrow, feeling like his mouth was about to cramp from laughing so hard. He picked up another crystal and played with it in his hand.
The next instant, as if Li Wei had lost his grip, the gem slipped from his fingertip and disappeared into the turbulent currents.
"No!" Vashtor was truly enraged. There was only one crystal left, so there was no need to be polite with him.
He now has only one goal: to stuff the human in front of him into the demon engine, making him toil day and night, never to be reincarnated.
Just as he was about to gather all his strength to launch an attack, he discovered that four more identical Chaos Crystals had appeared in Li Wei's hand.
Vashtor froze on the spot. His lips twitched, and he suddenly felt all his strength drain away. He was completely exhausted and didn't want to play anymore.
"What, you don't want it anymore?"
Li Wei picked up another crystal and was about to throw it into the depths of the turbulent current.
"I want it, sir, what do you need? Don't throw it away anymore!"
Vashtor stared intently at the crystal in Li Wei's hand, fearing that Li Wei might carelessly discard it again.
He had already guessed that the human in front of him had a large number of these pitch-black crystals, which exuded the power of the primordial chaos.
But seeing Li Wei carelessly discard it still pained him deeply, yet he dared not speak out against it.
"I want demons, lots of demons, especially the demons under the command of the Lord of Change."
Li Wei finally stated his request.
When he learned that the demon that was corrupting his silver-white ship was Vashtor, a crazy idea popped into his head.
Even now, the simulated heart that has appeared in his soul is pounding uncontrollably.
In his memory, Vashtor was not a lone wolf; he also owned a demon factory that produced demon engines and weapons of war for the four warp gods.
The Demon Factory is home to a large number of demons who worship the Four Gods, and it's impossible that Tzeentch's demons wouldn't be absent; there would definitely be quite a few.
Then his deal with the witch Elizabeth could be completed beyond the agreed amount, allowing him to make a huge profit.
Although Ellie is only a first-tier wizard, she is a genius wizard from the Black Tower Academy, the number one academy in the wizarding world.
Building a good relationship with Wizard Elizabeth is, in some ways, more important than the millions of Hub Points on his system page.
"Hmm? Demons? I wonder what the master wants these filthy, chaotic demons for?"
Vashtor frowned as he asked the question, but a sense of unease crept into his mind. He wondered if there was some kind of trap or conspiracy involved.
However, the next second, he just wanted to slap himself and kill his talkative habit.
As if he was getting impatient, Li Wei flicked away another Chaos Crystal.
"Alright, alright, I'll give you the devil now, sir. Please stop throwing my precious things around."
Vashtor stared at the lingering image of the crystal disappearing into the turbulent currents, tears welling up in his eyes.
These are all his crystals, treasures that can accelerate his ascension to godhood.
With tears in his eyes, he turned around, flapped his metal wings, and led the way.
Li Wei stared at Vashtor's dejected figure, then opened the system shop page and glanced at the upper right corner of the page, where he saw that he still had more than two million hub points left.
He wasn't worried about whether Vashtor had set a trap ahead; he had enough points.
Moreover, he concluded from the previous probing.
Vashtor's true strength is indeed unfathomable, but he is only slightly stronger than Magnus at present.
For Li Wei, it is far from being an insurmountable force.
With his massive amount of Hub Points, even if there are ambushes, he can forcefully tear open a subspace passage to reality using the cheap, useful, and abundant purification items available in the prize redemption system shop.
He then followed at a leisurely pace, chasing after Vashtor in the direction he had gone.
As for the silver-white ship, neither Levi nor Vashtor mentioned it, tacitly putting it out of their minds.
Li Wei followed behind Vashtor, navigating through layers of distorted warp currents, and soon came to see a massive steel fortress floating in the void.
The fortress was constructed entirely of rusted metal and twisted skeletons, with countless chimneys belching thick black industrial smoke, and the harsh sounds of metal scraping and demonic howls filling the air.
This is Vashtor's Demon Factory, the Soul Forge.
Led by Vashtor with almost obsequious deference, Livy stepped into the factory, where a stench of engine oil, sulfur, and blood assaulted his senses.
Although he was prepared, he was still stunned by the hellish scene before him.
Countless grotesque and twisted demons are chained up and work diligently on the cold assembly line. If they slack off even slightly, they will be whipped to pieces by the electric whips on the servo arms next to them.
Vashtor is the absolute ruler here. Wherever he goes, all the demons tremble in fear and dare not even raise their heads.
At this moment, emboldened by the allure of the Chaos Crystal, Vashtor regained his dignity as the master of the Demon Factory.
He picked up a long whip that he had been using for punishment, hooked it around several demons whose bodies shimmered with pink and crimson light, and dragged them to Li Wei's side.
"These are two pink demons and three fire demons under Tzeentch's command. Can I exchange them for a crystal?"
His tone was cautious and tentative, like that of a very shrewd businessman.
But Li Wei remained unmoved, a jet-black crystal spinning incessantly at his fingertips on his restless right hand.
Strangely, however, his gaze remained fixed on the factory's iron fence, attempting to find the subspace turbulence leading to the outside world.
Seeing Li Wei's expression, as if he wanted to discard the crystal again, Vashtor dared not haggle any longer. He immediately gritted his teeth and shouted:
"Men, seize all the demons under Tzeentch's command and bring them to the master."
Soon, a dozen tall, dark red flame-covered Khorne demons, each wielding a battle axe, brought in groups of Tzeentch demons from various corners of the demon factory.
Before long, the open space in front of Li Wei was filled with a dark mass, packed tightly together, estimated to be over a hundred treacherous demons.
"That's all?"
Li Wei stared at Vashtor with a disdainful expression, and said unhappily.
"How about we pack up all the demons under Khorne's command and give them to you too!"
Vashtor pointed at the Khorne demon, who had just been diligently escorting the Tzeentch demon.
